The MILSPEC AN/PVS-14D Night Vision Monocular is the highest quality available on the market today.
The PVS-14D is a hand-held pocket scope or can be head-mounted using either left or right eye. Optional Accessories allow the monocular to be Helmet-Mounted, Camera or Camcorder Mounted or even Weapon Mounted.
When used with an Aimpoint or ATN Red Dot Sight, you increase aiming accuracy. Either mount the monocular directly behind the Red Dot Sight or Head mount for continual visual enhancement and approach the sight as necessary. Laser Aiming Systems offer the greatest sighting accuracy by showing up as a straight white line to the target.
Tests showed significant clarity and sturdiness even using Military .50 cal Sniper Rifles. This versatile Night Vision System enables walking, driving, weapon firing, short-range surveillance and map reading in both moonlight or starlight conditions. IR illuminators and Spotlights greatly increase your detection and recognition abilities for longer range surveillance needs.
Each unit allows for vertical adjustment (by using Headstraps), fore-and-aft adjustment, objective lens focus and eyepiece focus for various levels of vision enhancement. Automatic Brightness Control and Bright Source Protection are standard.
The device is also equipped with an infrared light-emitting source and the variable gain control allows the user to increase or decrease image brightness for best possible contrast.
